Every piece of software ever written can be used in the right way or the wrong.

43 years experience in the Information Business gives us the ability to help you in a practical and straightforward way that allows your company to benefit from today’s software.

This time frame has seen some revolutionary changes in software.  Inexpensive data storage has led to systems that allow for tremendous flexibility, complex reporting, and very sophisticated analysis.

In particular, the advent of new resilient 4GL Languages like Progress have allowed the development of powerful software that for many years was only available to large organizations.

Our new Sterling System changes this, offering small business sophisticated system options at an affordable price, and in a manner that allows any company to tailor the software to their own needs.

The “Sterling” system offers a GL with unique features. In addition to having a 4-segment Account Structure, individual modules may specify their own single segment Chart of Accounts, permitting easier and faster input and a reduction of coding errors.

But the feature that most sets the “Sterling” GL apart is the ability in a single inquiry to request data over a time range that may span several accounting years, even for Revenue and Expense Items. Now questions relating to a project that lasted for a long time can be asked and answered in one simple inquiry.

The “Sterling” system also offers both a Canadian and a U.S. Payroll module. These modules are designed for easy linkage to other accounting systems, and are already being sold as part of specialist software from other developers.  For example, several Municipalities in both Canada and the U.S. that use the MAIS Municipal Accounting and Information System are in fact running the “Sterling” Payroll within that software.  Each Payroll module has its own full-featured HR module.

And a uniquely “Sterling” feature is that all modules roll through Year-End without any special processing. No holding back entry until the final period is closed, no delayed financial reporting because Year-End is demanding all of your energies.

Modules available in “Sterling”:

*  General Ledger

*  Payroll & Human Resources – Canadian and U.S.

*  Accounts Payable

*  Accounts Receivable

*  Construction Estimating and Project Management

All modules feature a printing interface that can send every report to any printer, screen or Excel spreadsheet, on demand.
